Welcome to My Studio — A Space Designed for Softening

Welcome to my little sanctuary in Parkwood — a space I’ve truly poured my heart and soul into, not because it needed to be fancy, but because I wanted it to feel like home.

My studio isn’t cold, clinical, generic, or impersonal.

It doesn't feel like a hospital ward or a doctor's office.

My studio is warm, welcoming, open, and nurturing.

Full of vibrant plants, neutral colours, soft textures, and natural light.

It is a homely place intentionally designed to soothe the nervous system and invite you to drop your shoulders and let out a sigh of relief the moment you walk in.

🌱 Why I Chose a Home Studio

Aside from the obvious factors like convenience, reduced operating costs, and overall stability, years of working in a variety of busy spaces - from shopping malls, to spas, to multi-practitioner and multi-modality clinics - taught me that the environment shapes the treatment just as much as the technique, and environments curated by others never seemed to support the way I wanted to hold space for my clients.

I wanted a space where:

  • I could offer my full range of services (from massage to sound healing, the home studio accommodates it all)

  • I wouldn't be forced to charge more than necessary to cover operating costs

  • my clients and I would have full control over the environment (lighting, music, treatment set-up, products used)

  • my clients wouldn't feel overheard, or overhear others (no need to censor yourself or feel self-conscious)

  • my clients wouldn’t feel rushed (all appointments include an appropriate buffer so there's no client overlap during arrival or departure)

  • we would have access to natural light and fresh air (a treatment room with a window is shockingly rare...)

  • my clients could arrive as they are (wearing PJ's, make-up free, unshaved, crying, because this is a space where your humanity is welcome)

My home studio allows me to work the way I’ve always wanted to work — slowly, intuitively, with presence. Here, I am able to see and treat my clients as whole people. To connect and nurture meaningful relationships with them, rather than treat them like just another "body on the table".

🌿 What You’ll Notice When You Arrive

A quiet suburban street. A spacious property surrounded by nature. Ample driveway or verge parking. A front door bearing a sign that says "Welcome, we hope you like cats!". A clean, calm, natural light filled reception space. A wall of vibrant green plants, and possibly a cat or two sleeping on a cloudy tower, or peacefully tucked in a box. A private, temperature controlled treatment room, full of crystals and therapeutic instruments, and bathed in natural light from the window overlooking a peaceful green garden.

My clients often say:

“I love the plant wall!”

“Oh, the cats are so cute!”

“What a peaceful/cosy/beautiful space.”

“I love the bird sounds.”

“I feel calmer already.”

It’s all intentional.

Every detail — the lighting, the textures, the warmth, the quiet — has been cultivated to support you, to help your system shift from doing to being and facilitate a deep and powerful softening within you.

🌿 A Final Word

My home studio isn’t a conveyor belt. It isn't a space for churning clients in and out like some production line in a factory.

My home studio is a space to talk, reflect, be heard, seen and understood, to work collaboratively, slowly and intuitively, to truly honour and acknowledge what you are carrying, and the impact it is having on your mind, body, and spirit.

This is a space where you don’t have to hold it all together.

My home studio is an extension of my therapeutic values — simplicity, stillness, and spaciousness — and is intended to cultivate trust, vulnerability, and connection with my clients. It’s not just another workplace — it’s where I hold space for people to soften, release, and reconnect with themselves.

If you’re craving a space where you can soften without performing, release without rushing, and reconnect without judgement — this studio was created with you in mind.

I’m so grateful for your presence, and look forward to welcoming you into this space.
