Yoga is an ancient and intricate system of principles, philosophies and practices that recognise the multi-dimensional nature of the Human Being, viewing the body, breath and mind as a union of these multi-dimensional aspects. The system and various techniques of Yoga work to cultivate a deeper experience of that union, cultivating higher consciousness, and a greater sense of Self-Awareness, health and happiness.
A deep and clear sense of Self-Awareness is what allows us to understand and address our needs effectively. Awareness of our Minds - the thoughts, stories, mental programs and psychological conditionings we carry - our Bodies - their functions, strengths, weaknesses, flexibility, adaptability and the conditionings we carry in our tissues - and our Spirits - the consciousness or awareness residing within all of us. Cultivating this deep connection and intimacy with the whole Self is the true therapeutic magic of Yoga.
Chloe's Yoga classes include techniques such as static holds and dynamic movements, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation. These techniques work to tune out the noise of the external world, and assist you in tuning in to your Self so that you may relax into the present moment, and rest in the naturalness of your Being. With each class you can expect a drop in meditation, gentle mindful movements to warm up the body and continue bringing the awareness into the present moment, Yoga postures, functional movements and stretches, and a final relaxation and closing meditation.

Everything in life is vibration. Every aspect of the human body, and the rest of our natural reality, vibrates at an atomic level. Sound Healing is a therapeutic practice that involves the use of sound waves from various therapeutic instruments, such as Singing Bowls, to facilitate healing by effecting the cellular vibrations within the brain and physical body, and the subtle vibrations of the energy body. The sound waves work to clear, tune, balance and harmonise the physical body, the mind and emotions, and the subtle energy field.
Stress reduction is one of the most notable healing benefits of Sound Therapy. Stress is the underlying cause of many physical and mental-emotional conditions, and has the power to hinder our spiritual awareness and development, however, it melts away with ease when you are bathed in a sea of healing sounds and vibrations from therapeutic instruments. Along with stress disorders, this therapeutic modality has also been purported to support the management of conditions such as high blood pressure, headaches and migraines, anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep disorders, and mental, emotional and physical pain.
Hand-beaten Himalayan Singing Bowls are our main Sound Healing offering, and can be easily incorporated into a healing session to supplement other therapeutic practices, or as the main component. These instruments are a type of bell that produce a rich, deep resonance, and gentle, soothing sound frequency that lasts for around 2 to 3 minutes at a time. We may also incorporate drums, Koshi chimes, bells, rattles and rain sticks into a session, depending on your preferences and presenting condition.
Experience this modality in our Integrative Healing, Shamanic Healing, & Therapeutic Yoga Containers, or in our Yin & Sound Class!
